These are very fine points that can be applied to almost any field. Unfortunately, I don't think modern corporate culture and structure will tolerate a wide implementation of these principles. As usual, someone needs to lead the change. A champion in the company who is not beholden to this pre-existing culture One True Method and complexity for complexity's sake is required to lead its implementation faithfully. If they need to hire professionals to implement it, that's fine. But they would need to make sure they understand that the usual culture does not apply here.

The second problem is rent-seekers: Deloitte, KPMG, et cetera. They're the ones who usually add the bells and whistles, and hustling 'consultants' also play their part in adding on without any consideration for those who will follow their advice. That's how you go from Agile to Agile methodologies. It's all fun and games until someone writes an opinionated piece for a methodology to implement with no dialog.
